These videos will be played during class Friday to help with the homework assignments
The Password!
•01/04/2012 • Leave a CommentI’m a bit late getting this added, so I’ll give everyone until Friday to get the password.
**************************************
Congratulations! You have found Mr. Baker’s school website. Starting Monday, you will find lesson plans and assignments here. This is the place to find links to helpful videos and an online calculator and other good stuff. Check back if you need to know what we did in class.
Today, however, let’s play a game. I told you in class on Wednesday that there is a secret password on my website. Now you’re here looking for it. Well, you actually get to write your own password, but it needs to follow specific rules. The password needs to start with the same letter your first name starts with and end with the same letter your last name ends with. For example, since my name is Scott Baker, my password could be “sugar” or “salamander” or “soccer”. Get the idea?
Better yet, if someone asks you what the password is, tell them YOUR password, but don’t tell them how you came up with it. So when my friend John Doe says “I forgot to look at the website. What was the password?” I would tell him “sugar”. Then he writes “sugar” on his paper just like I do; I win, John doesn’t. John should have written “jamboree” or “jive” or… you get the idea.
There is no prize for winning and no punishment for losing. It’s all just a fun way to get you looking at this website. Come back Monday to see what the normal lesson plans look like, and feel free to check out some of the links. New weeks will always be on the top of the page.
Want some extra fun? Let’s see who can get the most people to (incorrectly) write their password. Will it be yours? We’ll find out Friday!
Lesson Plans: 11/28 – 12/2
•11/30/2011 • Leave a CommentEND OF COURSE REVIEW ALL WEEK LONG!!!
We will have worksheets and boardwork problems associated with specific problems as we review each problem from the practice EoC. These will often vary based on what problems give us the most trouble, so it’s hard to say ahead of time what the assignments are. They will also require calculators so they will be mostly finished in class.
Want to look over the practice EoC on your own? Find it here.
